Rion Greenhouse
Buyer's Guide
Suggestions and Recommendations for Common Gardener Situations

Greenhouses for Small Yards
Rion Greenhouses come in a number of sizes to fit almost any yard or growing location. If you have a small and/or narrow yard, then a greenhouse with the smallest "footprint" might be best. Both the Rion EcoGrow and the Rion Majestic start at 6.5' wide by about 8' long. The Majestic also has the ability to add a door at the back end of the greenhouse, which gives the owner full walk-through capability, which can be an added bonus for a narrow space. Another option would be one of our Rion Sunroom Greenhouses, which are a lean-to style and attach to a house, wall, or other structure and have a footprint size starting at 6.5' wide by 8.5' long. These sizes will more easily fit into a narrow or small space than our Prestige, Green Giant, and Professional Series greenhouses, which all have a footprint size starting at 8.5' wide by 8.5' long.

Greenhouses for Tall Gardeners
If you are a taller than average person, then the height of a greenhouse can be a very important factor to consider. All of our greenhouses have been designed with barn-style roofs to provide as much head-room as possible, but our three tallest greenhouses are the Majestic, Prestige, and Green Giant. The Majestic has a roof height of 7' 6" and a door height of 6' 9", while the Prestige and Green Giants have a roof height of 8' and a door height of 6' 9".

Greenhouses for Moderate/Average Climates
Rion Greenhouses are all designed to perform efficiently and effectively in an extremely wide range of climates, from very hot to very cold. Each greenhouse we offer will work in any climate, but due to the differing greenhouse panels and frames available some of our models may work just a bit better than others for a particular extreme climate. If you are in a moderate climate area, which would include the majority of the US and much of Canada, you can't go wrong by selecting the Rion Professional Series greenhouse. It has been the best-selling hobby greenhouse for a number of years due to it's versatility and functionality. It comes with 4mm dual-polycarbonate panels, which offer very good insulation, and can be outfitted with a wide range of temperature regulating accessories for your specific situation (such as shade nets, louver windows, shutter fans, etc.)
Top Pick for Moderate Climates:

Greenhouses for Hot Climates
One of the main concerns for greenhouses in hot climates is keeping the interior temperature down. The white frame on our Professional Series and Sunroom Leanto greenhouses absorb less sunlight and hence stay cooler than a traditional green frame. Another good choice is the Rion Prestige, which has clear single-layer polycarbonate panels and when used with our large louver windows, has very good cross ventilation which helps keep the temperature from climbing too high.
Top Picks for Very Hot Climates:

Greenhouses for Cold Climates
For very cold climates, keeping the temperature from dropping too much is a big concern. All of our greenhouses do well in cold climates, especially when used in conjuction with a heat source such as a greenhouse heater. But if you want the absolute best insulated greenhouse, three of our models (the Majestic, EcoGrow, and Green Giant) are outfitted with 6mm thick dual-polycarbonate panels.
